You Have Still Been You, Haven't You?

Because no matter the amount of times you have felt lost in a sea of a thousand things to do, a range of roles and responsibilities and the many ways the others see you, all along, you have still been you.
.
.
.
.
You have been blooming everyday.
And, no amount of feeling unnoticed can pull you away from the truth.. 💫

Escape

Sea beach blue sky escape

Bleep, bleep!

That’s the sound of the alarm going on, opening yet another day of our busy metro life. One often gets so lost in the constant running around and attempt to make ends meet in day-to-day life that there is not much time to be in sync with our feelings about anything and everything.

Once in a while, everything hits us together and to overcome this overwhelming feeling we need an escape. Well, everyone has their own way to escape. Every one of us has found that hidden cave where we spill all our emotions into...

Some of us read to escape reality for a while, some write to let go of all the words that have been locked for so long, some listen to music to mute all the demon's screams that have been haunting them every night, some draw to sketch their own little world on papers, some go clubbing to throw their worries on the dance-floor, some travel to unknown places to let go off toxic people, some seek adventure to rejuvenate their mind, others walk along the beach and allow the waves to calm the storm raging inside them...

IT'S OKAY TO ESCAPE ; IT'S OKAY TO CLOSE OUR EYES & SINK INTO OUR OWN WORLD.

Friendship Messiah

Cleaning my books cupboard was a terrible task but it turned out to be worthwhile for two reasons. Firstly, constant nagging for cleaning the cupboard has come to a dead end and secondly, when I found this article called "Friendship Messiah" safely lying under a pile of folders since a couple of years back, probably when I did not even know how to use a computer. But, I am glad for preserving it for so many years because today I have this wonderful opportunity of sharing it and letting out the message, the message which needs to absorbed by everyone of us. This is what the article had to offer:

Mark was walking home from school one day when he noticed the boy ahead of him had tripped and dropped all of the books he was carrying, along with two sweaters, a baseball bat, a glove and a small tape recorder. Mark knelt down and helped the boy pick up the scattered articles.

Since they were going the same way, he helped to carry part of the burden. As they walked Mark discovered the boy's name was Bill, that he loved video games, baseball and history, and that he was having lots of trouble with his other subjects and that he had just broken up with his girlfriend.

They arrived at Bill's home first and Mark was invited in for a Coke and to watch some television. The afternoon passed pleasantly with a few laughs and some shared small talk, then Mark went home.
They continued to see each other around school, had lunch together once or twice, then both graduated from junior high school. They ended up in the same high school where they had brief contacts over the years.

Finally the long-awaited senior year came and three weeks before graduation, Bill asked Mark if they could talk. Bill reminded him of the day years ago when they had first met. "Did you ever wonder why I was carrying so many things home that day?" asked Bill. "You see, I cleaned out my locker because I didn't want to leave a mess for anyone else. I had stored away some of my mother's sleeping pills and I was going home to commit suicide. But after we spent some time together talking and laughing, I realised that if I had killed myself, I would have missed that time and so many others that might follow. So you see Mark, when you picked up those books that day, you did a lot more, you saved my life."

This is what the article reflects and the message to be absorbed by everyone of us -

Every little hello, every little smile, every helping hand saves a hurting heart & always remember,

"NO ACT OF KINDNESS, NO MATTER HOW SMALL, IS NEVER WASTED"

There's a miracle called "Friendship" that dwells in the heart. You do not know how it happens or when it gets started but, you know they make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share a word of praise, and they always want to open their heart to us and vice versa. Never hesitate to show your friends how much you appreciate them and what they mean to you!!

Leaf, Branch or Root?

leaf, branch, root, clear sky

People in our life are like parts of a tree; leaves, branches, and roots...

Like leaves, some people are beautiful in the beginning, but often take more than they’re willing to give, offer only temporary support and once the season changes, they just blow away...

Like branches, you have to be careful with some people because they’ll fool you into thinking they're good, strong and will be around always but the moment there is an issue, they will easily find any reasons to break the bond without thinking about the hurt it causes because they don't find it worth the effort anymore...

Like roots, some people are permanent. Even during storm or wind, they don't blow away or break easily instead they choose to grow through what they go through and become stronger because the tree, as a whole matters to them and not some parts of it...

Let the leaves blow away 🍃
Let that branch break ⚡️
Hold on to the roots.. 🌳

Are you a leaf, branch, or root? ☺️
